When is the admissions tile open to me? |
If you see a description on the tile showing how many active applications you have, then you can click and open the tile. What it means is that you have an application for a term that is open to applications. So for example, if you applied to Lakeland last November for Fall 2024, you should see that you have an active application. |

You can find your status when you click on the tile. If you're using a desk or laptop, a click automatically opens the application status page. If you're using a mobile device, you'll have to click on application status to see the details. Then you'll see the details.

What is an academic plan? |
You might see not applicable here. Academic plan only applies if your program has a specialization or a major. For example, our business administration diploma has 4 majors and our agribusiness diploma has 4 specializations. |
Can I get my acceptance letter from here? |
Yes - if it's one of 3 kinds of e-letter: an acceptance, waitlist or denial letter. These 3 types are posted to My Lakeland. Simply click on view decision letter (It's at the bottom of the application pane, following all the other application information, in application status). Depending on your browser settings, the letter will open in your designated PDF reader or download to your files. This PDF is printable. |
What if my status changes, will I get a new letter? |
We will email you if/when your application status changes. The letter in My Lakeland will be delayed at least a day from when you receive the email. Our portal (My Lakeland) operates on a one-day delay. So, if your application status changes on Thursday, you won't see the change until Friday. |
What is the To Do list? |
The To Do list is to help you keep track of documents you are required to send to us that support your application. This information is stored in 2 places
Items on your To Do list depend on the program you've applied to take. Most programs just need an official transcript showing you have successfully completed all the required courses for your program. Other programs require more such as a medical release form and work experience record. Whatever your program requires will be on your To Do list. These are pending tasks. Once you've submitted all the documents and the admissions team has determined you've met all the requirements, it will be marked complete. Once complete the task will disappear from your To Do list. Your To Do list is removed when you've completed all the items. |
What if I don't know what the requirement on my To Do list is? |
If you want more information about the document that you need to provide, you can click on that row. A new window will open with more information. |
What does the status of my to do list mean? |
Required are items our admissions team haven't received. Received are items the admission team has received and are being reviewed for a decision Doesn’t Meet Requirements are items our admissions team reviewed but don't meet the document and or program requirements Typically, you will receive an email explaining the admissions team's concern(s). |
How do I accept my offer of admission? |
This applies to both being accepted and being offered a seat on a waitlist. You'll need to accept or decline the offer. You'll also be asked to confirm your decision. The graphics show the options to accept or decline the conditional acceptance, and then the yes or no to confirm your choice. Whatever your decision, your application status will be updated immediately. If you choose to decline your offer and confirm that selection, your application will automatically be withdrawn. |
Once I accepted, it says I need to pay a tuition deposit, how do I do that? |
Once you have accepted your offer, if your program has a tuition deposit, you will see the Pay Admissions Deposit button. If you don't see the button, don't worry. If the button isn't visible then you don't need to pay a deposit. One option for paying your tuition deposit is using my Lakeland. These are the steps. 1. Click on the Pay Admissions Deposit button and you will be taken to the Make a Payment page. This page doesn't adjust to the size of your device so we strongly recommend that you only make a payment using a desktop or laptop.[see the graphic in the next dropdown] 2. To pay the deposit click on Pay Charges and the amount will fill in automatically. 3. Click Next. 4. On the Confirm Payment page, click Continue to Make a Payment. 5. This will transfer you to Moneris, our secure payment service. On the Moneris site you'll need to add your credit card information. 6.Click on Checkout. 7. When your payment is accepted, you will then be taken back to My Lakeland to view the confirmation. When you use My Lakeland to make your tuition deposit payment, a receipt will be emailed to the preferred email account you provided on your application. Reminder: Tuition deposits aren't refundable or transferable. |
Why do you recommend only using a desktop or laptop when making a payment? |
This is the page that you'll see. It doesn't adjust to the size of your browser, so if you're on your phone or tablet, you likely won't see all of the page on your screen. |
What are my payment options besides My Lakeland? |
While using My Lakeland to pay online is a common method for paying fees, there are several other ways to make a payment. Another common method is using your bank’s online bill payment feature. For other options or more information, please refer to our How to Pay Tuition and Fees page. |
