- Holds
What is a To Do list? |
The To Do list is to help you keep track of documents you are required to send to us that support your application.
This information is stored in 2 places
Items on your To Do list depend on the program you've applied to take. Most programs just need an official transcript showing you have successfully completed all the required courses for your program. Other programs require more such as a health assessment or immunization record. Whatever your program requires will be on your To Do list. Once you've submitted all the documents and the admissions team has determined you've met all the requirements, it will be marked complete. Once complete it will disappear from your To Do list. Your To Do list is removed when you've completed all the items. If you want more information about the document that you need to provide, you can click on that row. A new window will open with more information. |
What does the status of my To Do list mean? |
Required are items our admissions team haven't received. Received are items the admission team has received and are being reviewed for a decision Doesn’t Meet Requirements are items our admissions team reviewed but don't meet the document and or program requirements Typically, you will receive an email explaining the admissions team's concern(s). |
If I have a hold, what do I do? |
It really depends on the hold. If you are suspended, you’ll see the end date for your suspension. Once that day has passed, the hold will be removed from your record. If you have outstanding fees, you’ll need to pay to reinstate college services. Those services include but aren’t limited to obtaining a decision on your application to a program, requesting a transcript and graduating. Many holds are information about your financial account and there isn’t anything that you need to do. This information is provided to help you understand your financial account. For example, if you are receiving a government student loan or grant, details about the dollar amount being sent directly to Lakeland will be recorded in holds. Lakeland also records information about sponsorships and specific awards. |
What does the student aid information mean in the hold? |
Student aid information is recorded in holds. Student aid comes in many forms. It can be a loan or a grant from the provincial or federal government. We group loans and or grants together as student aid. Your account shows the start date and end date of the applicable aid. As well, you'll see the amount sent directly to Lakeland. |
