Maternity leave top-up payments for new mothers, health and wellness spending accounts, and phased-in work options for those nearing retirement are a few of the reasons why Lakeland College was named to the 2019 Alberta’s Top Employers list.

Program Information Sessions on March 8

Lakeland College’s campuses will be bustling with prospective students on March 8 during Program Information Sessions. Separate sessions will be held for sign language on March 14 at the Alberta School for the Deaf in Edmonton and for street rod technologies on March 15 at the Energy Park Site west of Lloydminster. Lakeland is also hosting an administrative professional info ​session on March 6 in Wainwright.

Since graduating from Lakeland’s sign language interpretation program, Brooke Wigmore has worked for five theatre companies, two interpreting agencies and an educational institution.

Lights, camera ... action! 

We took our cameras around some of our ag facilities and our Student-Managed Farm - Powered by New Holland to ask our students to share their thoughts about the future of agriculture in celebration of Canadian Agricultural Day. Our cameras were also rolling during the 20th annual Chamber Connect, co-hosted by Lakeland College and the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce.


Go Rustlers

We're hosting the ACAC Men's Basketball Championships from Feb. 28-March 1. Check out the latest Rustlers video for a preview of the championship. Plus, a tribute video was created for Rustlers women's volleyball head coach Austin Dyer, thanks to Ahnika Kuse, Rae Sigurdson and Shelby Becker, Lakeland's only fifth-year women's volleyball players.
