Dave King, dean of Trades and Technology, has been appointed to the Government of Alberta's Skills for Jobs Task Force. Tasked with offering recommendations on how to strengthen enrolment in apprenticeship programs, King will bring an important rural perspective to ​the team.

Lakeland College joins Academics Without Borders' Network

As part of a commitment to lifelong learning and leadership, Lakeland joined Academics Without Borders (AWB), a consortium of Canadian post-secondary institutions. Lakeland will support AWB's mission to help developing countries build their post-secondary institutions' capacity, drive development, and improve quality of live.

Laura Goodsman
Laura Goodsman credits her strong work ethic and Lakeland's hands-on learning as contributing factors that led to being awarded the Yorkville University's President's Medal Award. The Class of 2015 alumna graduated from the university's bachelor of interior design program this year.

Renewable energy alumnus returns to share his skills

A year after graduating with a diploma from Lakeland's online renewable energy and conservation program, alumnus Garnet Tozer returned as a sessional instructor to share his skills with the new cohort.

Lakeland Rustler goes pro

Ahnika Kuse
After playing five years with the Lakeland Rustlers women's volleyball team, Ahnika Kuse signed her first professional contract in Luxembourg.
