Future Students
Whether you’re researching our programs, planning a visit or are preparing to apply, our team is with you every step of the way. We’re here to help you start your Lakeland journey.
Our promise: We challenge every student to go beyond the classroom to be part of student-led and student-managed experiences in every field of study. We support them to become highly capable thinkers and doers.
Let’s get started.
Your first contact at Lakeland should be an enrolment specialist. They can be your advisor and guide from when you first begin looking at programs right up to registration day. And they'll be cheering you on through to convocation.
Plan to visit our campuses - take a tour or come during Open House in October. Explore our programs. If you aren't sure, try our program match. Compare credentials, length and whether it's in person, online or blended delivery.
Before you apply, you need to check academic and admissions requirements. If you aren't from Alberta, provincial subject and grade equivalencies. Learn all the steps in getting ready to apply. When you're ready, we also guide you through the applyalberta process.
You need to budget for more than tuition. Housing, cell phone, laundry, fun. Our financial aid and awards office can help. Check our awards daa base, tips on government student loans and listing of external awards.
If you don't have a Canadian passport or a residency card, then you are an international student. Check our eligible programs, tips on student visas, applying, estimating your costs and more. Our international team helps both before you arrive here and after you're a student.
You become a current student on registration day. Find your schedule, supply lists, residence move-in dates and more. We require you to register in person (online students, this doesn't apply to you).
