Admission requirements
High school diploma with a minimum 50% in:
- English 30-1 or 30-2
- Math 30-1 or Math 30-2
If you didn’t graduate from an Alberta high school, please refer to the English, math and science provincial subject equivalencies. If you don’t meet the admission requirements, please refer to special admissions.
Transfer credit
- We try to give you maximum transferability if you come to Lakeland from another college.
- If you completed business courses at another post-secondary institution, you may receive credits towards the first year of the accounting certificate.
- You must have at least a C in each course you want to transfer.
- Apply for transfer credits at least 2 months before classes start. Use our transfer credit form (pdf).
Graduation requirements
If you complete the requirements with a minimum grade point average of 2.0, you'll be awarded an Accounting Technician Certificate.
