Electrical Continuing Education

Lakeland College typically has provided two electrician related professional development courses:

master electrician
preparation for the Red Seal interprovincial exam

Currently available courses

Master electrician

Prepare to certify yourself as an Alberta Master Electrician.

This certification through the Alberta Safety Codes Council allows you to take out electrical permits in the province.

In order to qualify for the certification exam you must have:

a current resume detailing your industry experience
journeyman electrician status
a minimum of 3 years (in the last 5) of work experience in the electrical industry

Schedule

This course is offered over 5 weekends:

January 15-16 and 29-30
Feb 12-13 and 26-27
Mar 12-13

$1,950 + GST
