HL 119 - Oil and Exploration |
This course will introduce you to the oil industry. You will gain an understanding of the chemistry and origin of hydrocarbons, the first step into the oilfield. You will also learn how to find petroleum deposits and cover land locating. Course length: 2 weeks to complete |
HL 129 - Drilling and Completions |
Drilling and completions is a behind-the-scenes look at how an oil or gas well becomes a reality. The course covers what goes into drilling a well and background knowledge for entry-level positions in the petroleum industry. Course length: 2 weeks to complete |
HL 139 - Heavy Oil Production |
Heavy oil production gives an insight into the extraction, transportation and treatment of oil and gas. You will learn about the processes and equipment involved in producing and transporting hydrocarbons and the methods used in treating them. HL 149 - Heavy Oil Operations and Environment |
This course looks at the work involved in producing oil and gas. It includes daily operations and maintenance, as well as protecting the environment. You will get familiar with the roles individuals play and the tools and equipment they operate to keep the industry moving. Course length: 2 weeks to complete |
