***Important Note***Advanced First Aid or Emergency Medical Responder are preferred and may be required to receive International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) certification for NFPA 1006 Rescue certifications. This applies to awareness level, operations level, and technician level of this standard. Provincial Government requirements are currently under review.

Practicum requirements
- A clear criminal record check will be required for your practicum placement. Contact your local RCMP detachment for cost and procedure. This must be requested no sooner than 3 months prior to the start of the program start date.
- A driver's abstract may also be required.
Graduation requirements
When you complete the program requirements, you will be awarded an Emergency Services Technology diploma.
