Some programs are unique to us:

12-week firefighter training program– all of the NFPA 1001 requirements plus extras in this pre-professional program
We teach the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. However, our quality training exceeds those requirements.

NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications |
Open the door to a fire services career with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001 training from ETC. Courses are available via distance delivery or client hosted. See the NFPA 1001 page for complete program and course details. If you'd rather complete the training full time over 12 weeks check out our firefighter training program. This programs exceeds the NFPA 1001 requirements. You'll do more practice runs and other hands-on skill building. There's also a blended learning option with 12-weeks of online courses followed by 5 weeks onsite. |

NFPA 1140 Wildland Firefighter Qualifications |

Learn how to fight wild fires at ETC. We offer Level 1 of the NFPA 1140 Standard for Wildland Firefighting Personnel Professional Qualifications. This system for battling wildland fires is widely recognized and used across Canada. Municipal firefighters who may face grassland, bush, urban parks or forest fires would find this course useful. It's also a beneficial course for response teams in remote industrial areas and forestry service personnel.

Lay the foundation for a career in an industrial fire brigade with four courses at Lakeland’s Emergency Training Centre (ETC). Start at the incipient level and move through the advanced exterior and interior structure levels. You may also take a leader level course.
