Admission requirements
You must have a minimum of 30 post-secondary credits from a public, accredited institution
Direct entry -- You qualify if your credits are in a human services or wellness of people related field. This includes any previous animal wellness credits.
If your credits are from a science background, we recommend you take a course or courses first. Please contact Joanne McDonald, the human services department chair, to discuss your previous education and goals. She'll help you choose the best route. Contact her by:

Clinical experience requirements
It's your responsibility to meet all the requirements set out by the agencies. This includes immunization, criminal record checks, or vulnerable sector checks before you start your clinical experience. Students must be in good standing with a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) to take part in clinical experience.
Graduation requirements
If you complete the program requirements with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.00, you will be awarded an Animal Assisted Wellness certificate.
