Bachelor of Applied Business in Emergency Services |

NFPA 1021 Level I & II Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications | ||||||||||||||
Put yourself on an officer career path with courses at Lakeland’s Emergency Training Centre. Redesigned to be textbook-based, all 7 of the courses for Levels I & II, use Fire & Emergency Services Company Officer 5th edition published by the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA). NFPA 1021 Level III & IV Standard for Fire Officer Professional Qualifications | ||||
NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Level III & Level IV courses are once again available in Vermilion through ETC in partnership with the Ontario Fire College.
Both levels include pre-course work that starts 5 weeks before the on-site classes at ETC, as well as a final project submitted after the face-to-face classes.

Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management of Ontario.

NFPA 1041 Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Professional Qualifications | ||||
Prepare yourself for the challenges of teaching fire and emergency services courses.
The NFPA 1041 standard is designed for firefighters who want to become professional instructors.
Theory and techniques in these courses are also useful to anyone who does safety training or develops fire safety education materials.
Level one training builds your knowledge about learning environment, student behaviours, testing and assessment, lesson planning and lesson delivery.
The advanced course, Level 2, expands into different teaching methods, analyzing student test results, managing resources, record keeping and scheduling.
We also offer a 3-day enhanced presentation skills course that supplements both instructor and safety educator training.
Fire and Emergency Services Instructor
8th edition, published by IFSTA, is the textbook. Its cost isn't included in course fees.

Safety Codes Officer in the Fire Discipline

Add to your skill set and grow your career with safety code officer training. Virtually every industry and public sector workplace needs a safety codes officer (SCO). Fire is one of 10 specific safety code disciplines. All ensure public safety by monitoring and inspecting structures and installations. NFPA 1521 Incident Safety Officer |
The NFPA 1521 Incident Safety Officer course will be available in Vermilion through ETC in partnership with the Fire Department Safety Officers Association Incident Safety Officer Academy. Comprehensive and fast-paced, the ISO Academy focuses on the knowledge and experience of an effective ISO. The ISO Academy includes situational exercises and scenario practice. The Academy is ideal for seasoned fire officers and aspiring fire officers likely to serve as Incident Safety Officer.
