Ready to register?
When you're ready to register for a scheduled course, you have two options:
- Use our interactive (fillable) pdf ETC student registration form
- Call the Registrar's office to complete your registration.
Once you fill in the form you may return it by email, fax or mail.

More on registration
- Registrations are accepted until classes start. However, we recommend that you apply early.
- We begin processing registration requests in early October.
- For most courses, acceptance is on a first-qualified, first-accepted basis. If different, it will be noted.
- Physical requirement sections of the application form must be completed and signed by an authorized individual. This person determines an individual’s fitness for fire service duty. This could be a fire chief, municipal secretary, public health nurse, safety nurse, safety supervisor or management member responsible for brigade staffing. You can't verify your own fitness levels.
- Members of Alberta municipal fire departments must have the application form signed by their fire chief or designate.

Admission requirements You must be at least 18 years of age on or before the course or program start date. Specific admission requirements can be found with each course and program information. All academic and non-academic admission requirements, including physical fitness requirements, must be met. Prerequisites When identified, you'll need to provide documentation to verify completion of requirements. Most times documents must be supplied with your application form. |

Discipline
Student appeal process Students receiving academic or non-academic disciplinary decisions/actions may appeal those decisions that have an adverse personal or academic impact. Transcripts A transcript is an official record of your grades. Transcripts are free, but there is a cost for expedited service. A transcript will not be released to a third party without written authorization from the student. See the transcripts page for more information. Students with special needs Lakeland College provides academic accommodation to students with disabilities. Within the limits of its resources, and having due regard for the rights and entitlements of other students and college staff who may be affected, the college will, where reasonable, remove barriers and provide opportunities to students with disabilities. If you have a physical, sensory or learning disabilities, please contact the accessibility advisor well in advance of their course start date. We'll need time for assessment of necessary support services and employment goals. Please arrange additional support, such as interpreters and technical assistance, before your course or programs starts. Exams All written examinations require a minimum passing score of 70%. Exceptions may apply for specific courses and programs. Where applicable, a student can write a course examination only after successful completion of the practical components. Exam Rewrites If you fail a written or online examination with a mark between 60% and 69%, you'll be allowed one rewrite for that course. Exceptions may apply for specific courses and programs. The application to rewrite is online or contact the Office of the Registrar toll-free at 1 800 661 6490 ext. 8548.The application must be made within 60 days of release of the test scores. The rewrite must be completed within 60 days of Lakeland accepting your rewrite request* Equivalent Standing Lakeland College recognizes prior education when it is a course prerequisite and necessary for course progression. To receive equivalent standing for a Lakeland course, the equivalent course must be evaluated. You must have received a minimum grade of 70%.

Accommodation & meals |
You are responsible for making your own arrangements for meals and accommodations.
Accommodation is available at local hotels as well as Alumni House on campus. Residence accommodation is available between May and August.
There are many restaurants including fast food, sit down and deli options. The campus cafeteria is open from early morning to late afternoon, except during the summer when hours are reduced and the cafeteria is closed.
