Prepare to be an electrical apprentice with Lakeland's pre-employment program.
You’ll learn skills and grow knowledge through classroom and lab work in our Trades Centre.
You cover the same technical material as a first-year apprentice:
- electrical theory and fundamentals
- Canadian electrical code
- control circuits
- splicing
- alarm systems
- electric hand tools
- trades mathematics
- safety training
Once you’re finished those 12-weeks, you’re eligible to write the 1st period Alberta apprenticeship exam.
Then, apply your skills and build industry connections during a 4-week work placement.
