Bachelor of Science Medical Lab Science Routes

The University of Alberta offers a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science.

You must complete one year of pre-professional studies before applying to the program. You can take that year at Lakeland, followed by 3 years at the U of A.

• Admission is competitive. Minimum overall GPA of 2.7 is required to apply. The competitive GPA has been over 3.4.
• You must submit a letter of intent as part of the application process. It is due by April 1. You are also encouraged to tour a clinical lab, speak to lab staff and investigate the career.
• There are medical testing and immunization requirements.
• An admission condition is that you must have a clear Police Information Check (PIC).
