You may choose to take one or two years of classes at Lakeland. This depends on your major and minor. Because we offer more courses in biology and chemistry, those subject areas work best for a earning 60 credits (2 years). Because Lakeland offers more biology and chemistry courses, those subjects work best for staying at Lakeland for 2 years.

You aren't limited to these two universities. Lakeland students have transferred to other Western Canadian universities such as University of Lethbridge and University of Regina.
Talk to the academic advisor about your options as well as checking with the university that you plan to attend.
- You must also meet all the admission requirements of the degree-granting institution. This may include appropriate high school courses and averages.
- Admission is competitive. There may be quotas for number of students admitted to the degree program at the receiving institution.
- Some receiving institutions specify a minimum grade for transfer credit.
- If you change a program or receiving institution, be aware that there may not be room in the new program.
