Location
Lloydminster
Credential
30 credits to bachelor's degree
Program Length
1 - 4 years
You may spend one or two years at Lakeland College before transferring to a degree-granting university. That time is equal to 30 or 60 credits.
The table below shows our most popular transfer routes. However, you aren't limited to these routes. Some or all of your credit may transfer to another university in Canada, in the US or elsewhere in the world.
If you want to transfer, you'll need to do some research yourself. Most university websites have a section on transfer credits. You can also check provincial transfer guides. For links to those guides and other transfer information, check our transfer guide page.
Keep in mind that transfers aren't guaranteed
- Even with official transfer agreements you may need to have a certain grade point average (GPA) or another requirement from the receiving university.
- That the receiving university has the final decision about whether your course(s) will transfer.
- What will transfer won't be confirmed until after you apply and submit your final, official Lakeland transcript.
Do the research to be aware of and understand your receiving institution's requirements. Then, work with your academic advisor to choose the courses you need.

Not recommended science routes |
While there are many, many options from where you go from Lakeland to complete a science degree, there are exceptions. This is because there are some very specific courses for these science-related programs, so you can’t transfer a full year of credits. These are the programs we recommend you not start at Lakeland, and why they aren’t popular transfer routes from here. For all 3 of these exceptions, you wouldn’t receive credit for a full year of courses and would need 5 years to complete your degree.
