Get your official transcripts through MyCreds™
Official transcripts are a complete record of your academic progress. They include:
- courses taken
- transfer credit awarded
- certifications granted.
Official transcripts are sent directly from the Office of the Registrar.
For most Lakeland students, official transcripts are now issued and accessed through MyCreds™, a secure digital transcript sharing platform. Not only does MyCreds™ provide you with fast and easy access to your certified and official electronic transcript, but you can also share your transcripts securely with educational institutions, employers, government offices and others.
After requesting your transcript on your My Lakeland account, your transcript will be uploaded directly to MyCreds™ within 1-2 business days.
Do you need to request a transcript for another Alberta post-secondary? |
When you apply to another Alberta post-secondary institution through ApplyAlberta, the new institution will request your official transcripts from Lakeland on your behalf, free of charge. Please allow enough time for this process to take place. If you have questions about the status of your transcript delivery, please first contact the new institution to verify they have submitted a request. |
How to request a digital transcript |
When your transcript is ready, you will receive an email confirmation from MyCreds™ to access your document. The confirmation will be sent to the primary email address included on your My Lakeland profile. Use the link in the email to register and create your MyCreds™ account.

Processing time |
Before ordering a transcript, please review your unofficial transcript in My Lakeland to ensure the information is correct. The unofficial transcript and official transcript have the same information. If you are waiting on final marks, request the transcript after your final marks have been posted. Your transcript will be uploaded directly to MyCreds™ within 1 to 2 business days. If you are waiting for your graduation comment to be placed on your transcript, you will receive an email from records@lakelandcollege.ca when that is completed. Once you receive that email, log into your My Lakeland portal, and request a transcript. It will be processed within 1-2 business days. Please note that financial holds must be cleared from your account before the Office of the Registrar will issue an official transcript. Check financial holds in your My Lakeland account. |
Apprentices |
Apprentices must go through Apprentice and Industry Training (AIT) for transcript requests. |
Alumni |
Alumni, who attended Lakeland College after 2009 may request transcripts through My Lakeland. For alumni who attended Lakeland before 2009 and have not returned since, or are former student please request for your transcript to be uploaded to MyCreds™ by emailing transcripts@lakelandcollege.ca detailing:

Employers and licensing bodies often require official transcripts. You may also need one to support your application to another post-secondary institution. Official transcripts are important to third parties as they assure authenticity and content accuracy. It’s especially important that you check your unofficial transcript to ensure there are no errors or omissions. |
MyCreds™ FAQ
Are my transcripts Secure? |
Yes, documents issued through MyCreds™ are authentic, tamper-evident and legally valid. Your official transcript in your MyCreds™ account contains digital signatures that meet the legal requirements for certified digital documents in countries around the world. This information can only be accessed by you, NAIT and whoever you choose to share your documents with. MyCreds™ is owned by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), and powered by Digitary, an international document issuing organization that stores your documents securely. |
Can I control who has access to my transcripts? |
Yes, when you review your transcript, you can select ‘Access control’ where you can see who has access to your document. If you have shared your transcript in error or wish to disable access to a recipient, you can do so within this window by selecting the disable button. |
How do I share my transcript? |
You must first order your transcript through the My Lakeland portal. Once you receive an email confirmation and log in to your MyCreds™ account, select and open your transcript. MyCreds™ how to share document. |
After I share my transcript, how do I know my transcript has reached its destination? |
When you first share a document, you will receive a notification in the top right-hand corner of your MyCreds™ account to inform you that your share was successful. You can also open your transcript to review your share history. |
Can I add an access PIN and expiry date to my transcript? |
Yes, when you share your transcript with an organization, you can include an access PIN and/or an expiry date. Please note that an access PIN or expiry date are not mandatory when sharing your transcript. If you chose to include an access PIN, it is essential that you share this code with the recipient as they will be unable to access the document without it. You can review the access code by selecting the recipient within the ‘Access control’ tab in MyCreds™. If you chose to set an expiry date, the recipient will be unable to access your transcript once the expiry date arrives. |
I deleted MyCreds confirmation email |
You can still access your MyCreds™ account by going to the MyCreds login page and create a login using the primary email included on your My Lakeland profile. If you are unsure of which email you have on your My Lakeland portal, you can review this information on your My Lakeland Portal > Open Self Service > Profile>Contact Details. |
