Prospective students will discover how to take the lead at Lakeland College during program information sessions on Friday March 8
“This event is a great opportunity for students to get an inside look at a Lakeland program. They will also get to see our leading facilities and have their questions answered by Lakeland staff, faculty and current students,” says Courtney King, Lakeland's recruitment and enrolment supervisor.
New for 2019, almost all of Lakeland's program information sessions will be on March 8. The exceptions are:
- sign language which is March 14 at the Alberta School for the Deaf in Edmonton
- street rod technologies which is set for March 15 at the Energy Park Site west of Lloydminster
- administrative professional info session on March 6 in Wainwright.
“Even though our sessions have moved to one day, our reason for hosting them stays the same. By attending a program info session, you'll learn how you can take the lead in your chosen program and be closer to making a decision about your future,” King says.
At the Vermilion campus, program areas include
- agricultural sciences
- environmental sciences
- human services
- interior design technology
- trades pre-employment and apprenticeship
At the Lloydminster campus, program areas include
- business
- energy
- health and wellness
- university transfer
While each of the program areas has a specific schedule, regardless of what info session they attend, prospective students will:
- meet instructors, staff and students
- learn about program courses, admission requirements, activities and leadership opportunities
- receive career information, including earning potential
- discover the many services available at Lakeland to help them succeed
- become familiar with campus
