Prospective students are invited to see what Lakeland College has to offer at Program Information Sessions.

“Info Sessions are a great way for future and prospective students to learn more about what to expect at Lakeland,” says Courtney King, Lakeland's recruitment and enrolment supervisor. “It's our chance to show them that they made the right choice and that Lakeland is where they want to be.”

On March 12, Lloydminster campus will be opening its doors, welcoming students interested in gaining a better understanding of what to expect from our business, energy petroleum technology, health and wellness, university transfer, and street rod technologies programs.

The Vermilion campus will be open on March 13 for those interested in learning more about agricultural sciences, interior design technology, human services and trades pre-employment and apprenticeship.

Visitors will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the programs they are interested in, including participating in labs with current students and sitting in on classes. There will be academic advisors on site to discuss financial aid, learner pathways and transfer routes, and parents of prospective students are invited to information sessions to learn how best to support their children. There will be a services fair on site as well with information on the many ways Lakeland supports student success.

As an added benefit to those interested in environmental sciences, that program's info session will be hosted on March 19, coinciding with the Conference on Environmental Management. Prospective students who attend will also be given the opportunity to attend some of the conference, including current student capstone presentations and the keynote address by world-renowned naturalist and Lakeland alumnus Brian Keating.

The sign language programs Info Session will be on March 12 in Edmonton during the Alberta School for the Deaf's open house.

An info session for the firefighter training and emergency services technology programs will be hosted later in the year.
