Trades - Pre-Employment

Step into a trade

Open the door to become a journeyperson through our pre-employment programs.

Pre-employment is a place to start if you don't have a background in a particular trade.

Train with passionate instructors who are linked to industry and build your skills in our Trades Centre.

You'll spend 12 weeks in our labs and classrooms and have the opportunity to write first period Alberta apprenticeship exam.

You will complete 4 weeks (120 hours) of work experience. We will match you with an Alberta based employer so you can use your new skills and knowledge in the real world.

Our pre-employment programs start in the fall term and finish just before Christmas.
