Convocation - 2023
It’s just a short time until our Convocation Ceremonies commence! As you prepare for your attendance at the event, we’d like to share some details with you. Graduates, please watch your email and mail for further details!
- There is no limit to the number of guests you can bring. Seating is first come-first seated.
- The ceremonies are expected to run just under 2 hours.
- Family and friends are welcome to take pictures before, during and after the exercises.
- The convocation program will be made available on our website the day of convocation for you and your friends and family to view, download and print.
- If your family is unable to attend in person, the convocation ceremonies will be live streamed.
Lloydminster Campus: May 26, 10:30 am, Lakeland College Gymnasium
- Convocation tea immediately following the ceremonies in the Servus Credit Union Hospitality Centre (cafeteria). Everyone is welcome.

Vermilion Campus: June 2, 10 am & 2:30 pm, Vermilion Stadium
- 10 am – Schools of Human Services, Environmental Sciences, Fire & Emergency Services, and Trades & Technology
- 11:30 - 1:30 pm: Convocation tea for all programs, Lakeland College Cafeteria, Alumni Hall. Everyone welcome!
- 2:30 pm: School of Agricultural Sciences

Apply to graduate |
The Apply to Graduate application closed March 24. However, you can still apply for your parchment. It will be prepared and mailed to you following the convocation ceremonies. Please email records@lakelandcollege.ca to request your parchment. |
Apply for an Alumni Generation pin |
Lakeland loves to celebrate alumni connections. If your parent(s), grandparent(s) or great-grandparent(s) attended Vermilion School of Agriculture, Vermilion Agriculture & Vocational College, Vermilion College or Lakeland College, please apply for an alumni generation pin. Forms are available online. Go to the alumni generation pin form page. |
Convocation awards |
Graduates who receive honours [Grade Point Average (GPA) 3.50 - 3.79] and distinction [GPA of 3.80 and higher] will be recognized following the ceremonies. This will be announced in the convocation programs found on the Lakeland College website. The student with the highest academic standing on each campus receives the Governor General's medal. President's Medals are presented at each campus convocation. Graduates who are 2nd, 3rd and even 4th generation alumni are also recognized with generation pins. Distinguished citizens are convocation speakers. |

Our graduation photographer will be on site the days of convocation for cap/gown photos with family & friends. Stay tuned! Sessions will be drop-in before and after the ceremonies. There is no obligation to purchase photos. Session fees are $20 payable at time of session. |
