Vermilion's recreation centre is the place to keep energized throughout the year.

Students, staff and community are all welcome. Individual and corporate rates are available for everything from swimming laps to walking on the treadmill, and from doing a circuit in the weight room to a noon hour squash game.

The Colonel Cormack Recreation Centre on the Vermilion campus is a busy place seven days a week.

Our facilities include:

  • gymnasium
  • fitness centre
  • pool with hot tub
  • squash and racquetball court

Our facility is closed on statutory holidays.

With five lanes and lots of other features, the Vermilion Aquatic Centre offers fitness and fun.

We're located on Lakeland College's Vermilion campus as part of the Colonel Cormack Recreation Centre.

The Town of Vermilion and Lakeland College jointly share the operational costs of the pool.  The aquatic centre was constructed as a joint venture between the town and college. The pool opened on Feb 29, 1988.

We offer swimming lessons throughout the year, although July and August are our busiest times.

We teach the Red Cross preschool (3 months to 5 years) and swim kids (over age 5).
