Academic Upgrading
Achieve your goals and dreams through an academic upgrading option at Lakeland College.

- You didn't finish high school but want a Grade 12 diploma.
- You want to apply to a college or university, but are short credits.

Grade 4 to 9 - Adult Basic Education |
Lakeland College and partner Northern Lakes College offer grades 4 to 9 at the Lloydminster campus.
Classes are live, online in Lloydminster. The program is for adults of all ages and abilities. It's designed to prepare you for getting a high school diploma, career training or a job. Plus it's affordable. You may also be eligible for funding through Alberta Works. The program is 10-months, full-time. However, you may only need to attend part-time depending on the credits you need. As a full-time student you'll take 15 credits per semester at a cost of $2,197.50 (includes a learning resource fee). Grade 10 and 11 - Academic Upgrading |
Grades 10 and 11 academic upgrading is also offered through a partnership with Northern Lakes College.
Class will be available live online at the Lloydminster campus. Pre-requisite: A high school transcript that is less than 2 years old when you apply. If it's older, than you will need to take placement test (ACCUPLACER) to determine where you'll start. Fees for 2022-23 ranged from $965 for taking 5 credits part-time for one term to $2,830 for taking 15 credits, full-time over one term.
