Exam Centre
GED exams are no longer available and have been replaced with the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC). More information will be added to the CAEC tab below as it becomes available.
You might know it as exam invigilation or test administration services. Whatever the name, if you need to write an exam, Lakeland College's has the service: a neutral, secure location to write an exam.
Our test administration centre will assist with your exam's specific needs and requirements. We will ensure the security and confidentiality of the test material and your exam results.
Exams can be from:
- post-secondary institutions
- businesses and professional training
- certifying organizations
We work with individuals, groups, agencies and organizations.
- paper exams
- online exams
Some examples of the types of exams we've hosted:
- completing an online or correspondence course
- earning accreditation or certification
- completing admission/entrance exams and requirements
- completing professional development courses

The Exam Centre is currently open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with exam times of 9 am and 1 pm. Please use our booking interest form to tell us what exam you need to write and the date you'd like to write it. Please be specific regarding what date you want to write your exam. Should you require an exam proctor on a specific date, please contact us at 780 871 5746. Exam dates requested outside of regular business hours or during scheduled closures are subject to additional fees and proctor availability. Summer hours The last day to write exams before the summer break is June 25, 2024. The following dates will be open for any exams booked during the summer:
Additional days may be added based on demand for exam times. Regular exam centre hours will resume Sept 4, 2024. Fall hours The exam centre will be open Mondays, beginning Sept 9, 2024. Fall closures are scheduled for:

Exam appointments are subject to availability. You are encouraged to contact the Exam Centre at least two weeks in advance to schedule exams on your preferred dates. Please allow 2 to 5 business days to receive a response to your inquiry. Please contact us by phone, email or fill out our booking form.

Our exam centre is preparing to become an authorized CAEC test centre to replace the GED test series. Scheduling of CAEC exams is planned to open at our testing site in Sept 2024.
