As of July 1:

"Ensuring our programs are aligned with industry is a key priority for Lakeland College. Together with our advisory committees and faculty, these new program names were chosen to be more reflective of the certification our students receive and the industries they will thrive in after graduation,” says Tanya McDonald, interim vice president, academic and research.

Every program Lakeland offers is vetted by industry partners and advisory committees. With their support, Lakeland enhances current programs as required and develops new ones to ensure the college continues to offer educational opportunities that are key to supporting industry and rural sustainability.

This innovative program was created in consultation with more than 40 agricultural organizations and is the first of its kind in Canada. The college also launched an agricultural sustainability diploma, a post-bachelor certificate in commercial agriculture production, and sustainable energy microcredentials.
