Agricultural Sciences
Lakeland’s agricultural roots are more than a century deep. We were Alberta’s first agricultural college.
Today’s agricultural science courses are more sophisticated and there are many more career opportunities in a much broader industry than there were in 1913.
Two things haven’t changed. Our agricultural training is hands on. And, we’re building leaders.

Student-centered learning
Our approach to agricultural education is straightforward: We put students in real-world scenarios. We challenge them to think critically and learn through experience.
No matter what their path, Lakeland students are invested in becoming highly capable thinkers and doers.
