- Your SIN is required on all income tax forms. Lakeland provides a T2202 form to both you and the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). CRA requires Lakeland to submit details for all of our students about eligible tuition fees and months of instruction.
- If you claim deductions for attending post-secondary education, this information is used to validate your tax return.
- If you are receiving an award, scholarship or bursary from Lakeland College, it's important to provide your SIN as you will be issued a T4A tax form.
If you don’t have a social insurance number or don’t know what your number is, you can skip entering it or provide it later. As a reminder, you will be asked to provide your SIN every time you log in until this task is completed.
We strongly recommend that you do this on a laptop or desktop computer as this page isn’t configured for a mobile device.
Log into My Lakeland.
Select the SIN Entry Tile.
In the box, enter your social insurance number. Don’t add spaces or dashes. A SIN has just 9 digits.
