Esthetics
Whether you'd like to start working in the health and beauty industry or want to expand your skill set, you have options. Lakeland offers a range of short-term courses on evenings and weekends.
Course dates: October 16-18 and 23-25
Registration closes: October 5
Cost: $2,990.40 (includes tuition, gst, and supply kit).
In just two weekends, you can become a nail technician. Put your skills to work in spas, salons and your own home-based business. You'll learn anatomy, form sculpting, tip application, how to work with gel and soak-off products, and proper sanitation and safety procedures.

This 25-hour course provides comprehensive theory and practical training to be a successful certified pedicurist. You'll learn foot and toenail anatomy, diseases and disorders, pedicure procedures, French pedicure, gel polish, precise polish application, paraffin wax treatment, foot and leg massage techniques, and proper salon and spa sanitation.
Course dates: November 13-15

Learn makeup techniques for day, evening, and bridal looks with this weekend course. This is the perfect course for both personal interest and professional development. You may expand your career options or business with new skills. You'll learn about facial structure, monochromatic colour, the art of blending, contouring, and shading, as well as proper salon and spa sanitation procedures.

This 2-day course provides hands-on learning in the most in-demand brow and lash services. You’ll learn to expertly shape, wax, tint, and laminate brows, as well as tint and lift lashes.

A 17-hour course offered over 2 weeks for anyone who wants to learn how to effectively remove facial and body hair in a professional atmosphere. Includes both soft and hard wax techniques. You'll learn the anatomy of hair, cycles of hair growth, proper depilation, and proper salon and spa sanitation.

This two-day course teaches you classic lash extensions. This course includes theory and practical learning. This knowledge will provide you with all the fundamentals to start your own lash business!

Clinical Esthetician
If you're already a qualified esthetician, you can upgrade your skills by taking our weekend and individual courses.
Course dates: September 12-13
Registration closes: August 31
Cost: $1,500 (includes tuition, gst, and supply kit)
This 9-hour course provides hands-on training in professional Hydrafacial treatments using the HydraFacial machine and products. Students will learn how to perform non-invasive skincare treatments that cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, and extract impurities to improve overall skin health and appearance.
Course dates: September 25-27
Registration closes: September 14
Cost: $1,250 (includes tuition, gst, and supply kit)
This 13-hour course provides comprehensive training in professional microneedling techniques. Students will learn how microneedling stimulates the body's natural healing response to increase collagen and elastin production, helping improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and overall skin texture.

This 18-hour course provides comprehensive training in laser hair removal using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology.

This 11-hour course provides foundational training in Level 1 chemical peel treatments for esthetic professionals.
Course dates: November 1
Registration closes: October 19
Cost: $750 (includes tuition, gst, and supply kit)
Building on the knowledge and skills gained in the Level 1 Chemical Peels course, this 7-hour advanced training course prepares esthetic professionals to perform more advanced chemical peel treatments safely and effectively.
Course dates: November 27-28
Registration closes: November 16
Cost: $800 (includes tuition, gst, and supply kit)
This 9-hour course provides comprehensive training in dermaplaning, one of the most sought after skincare treatments and an effective alternative to chemical and manual exfoliation.
Course dates: November 29

Cost: $800 (includes tuition, gst, and supply kit)
This 7-hour course provides comprehensive training in professional microdermabrasion treatments, a gentle and effective exfoliation procedure designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.
Alternatively, you can take these courses in one 7-week block at the same time as students in our clinical esthetician program.
Dates: April 26 to June 11, 2027 (classes run 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday)
