Whether you'd like to start working in the health and beauty industry or want to expand your skill set, you have options!  Lakeland offers a range of short-term courses on evenings and weekends.

Other courses

In just six weeks (36 hours), you can become a nail technician. Put your skills to work in spas, salons and your own home-based business.  You'll learn anatomy, form sculpting, tip application, how to work with gel and soak-off products, and proper sanitation and safety procedures.

This 25-hour course provides comprehensive theory and practical training to be a successful certified pedicurist.  You'll learn foot and toenail anatomy, diseases and disorders, pedicure procedures, French pedicure, gel polish, precise polish application, paraffin wax treatment, foot and leg massage techniques, and proper salon and spa sanitation.

Using movie and TV quality makeup learn the techniques to create aging and zombie character makeups in a weekend workshop.

Learn makeup techniques for day, evening, and bridal looks with this weekend course.  This is the perfect course for both personal interest and professional development.  You may expand your career options or business with new skills.  You'll learn about facial structure, monochromatic colour, the art of blending, contouring, and shading, as well as proper salon and spa sanitation procedures.

A 17-hour course offered over 2 weeks for anyone who wants to learn how to effectively remove facial and body hair in a professional atmosphere.  Includes both soft and hard wax techniques.  You'll learn the anatomy of hair, cycles of hair growth, proper depilation, and proper salon and spa sanitation.

This 2-day course teaches you the volume lash technique. This course includes theory and practical learning. This knowledge will provide you with all the fundamentals to start your own lash business!

Clinical Esthetician

If you are already a qualified esthetician, take courses to add clinical skills.

Courses will be offered at the same time as students in our clinical esthetician program, take their additional 7 weeks of training.

Dates:  April 28 to June 13, 2025 (classes run 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday)

Cost:  $5,595.00
