Arm yourself with skills to communicate more easily with tradespeople, engineers,
and construction personnel with this introductory course.
You'll benefit by:
- learning to read and understand P & IDs drawings
- communicating with engineering and construction disciplines
- using P & IDs to create and carry out management of change
- analyzing emergency situations
- creating as-built drawings
What you'll learn:
- define a P & ID
- describe why they are important to the operation of a facility
- identify and describe the written information on the P & IDs
- understand how to reference lead sheets and mechanical line lists
- understand how to read line numbers, line designations and equipment labelling
- identify symbols selected for instruments and describe how instruments are used to control processes
- be able to trace a flow of a process stream within a P & ID
