Create community connections as you develop your American Sign Language (ASL) skills.
Take your strong visual processing and fine motor skills and immerse yourself in Deaf culture and community.
In this intensive program, you’ll:
- Study more than sign language. You’ll study history, current trends and issues in the Deaf community.
- Participate in community events as part of course work.
- Prepare to work in educational and other community settings.
The program is offered full-time at the Alberta School for the Deaf in Edmonton.
Program-specific courses are immersive and taught by instructors who are Deaf. Each course is offered in a condensed timeframe and builds sequentially in order for you to complete the program.
