Choose to take the program online, or face-to-face on campus in Vermilion.
Regardless of how you take the program - you'll learn and experience the same courses and practicums. Our program prepares you to support children and youth, as well as their families.
Our program is nationally recognized and is accredited by the Child and Youth Care Educational Accreditation Board of Canada (CYCEAB).
You’ll develop essential skills such as:
- observing, reporting and assessing skills in case management situations
- building therapeutic relationships
- helping children and youth who have behavioural or learning difficulties
- supporting family interventions
- recognizing symptoms of abuse & addiction
- building resiliency
- working with children and youth in diverse settings
More vital is the time you get to put your knowledge into action. Your hands-on experience includes 4 practicums over the course of the program.
